Welcome!
From the 1st - 3rd of April 2009, The University of Sydney will present its first Asia Pacific Symposium on Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The theme of the inaugural Symposium is "New Thinking & Practice".
The Symposium will involve academia, industry and policymakers, in bringing together theory and practice on entrepreneurship and innovation. Particular emphasis is placed on international dimensions within the Asia Pacific region.
The Symposium is a joint initiative of the International Entrepreneurship Research Group in the Faculty of Economics and Business and the United States Studies Centre.
Symposium Events
The conference will be held over 3 days and will comprise presentations and discussions form both industry leaders and academic experts in the field of entrepreneurship. Presentations will include both moderated panel discussions and individual presentations.
Topics for discussion include, but are not limited to:
- Innovation and internationalisation
- Social entrepreneurship
- Innovation systems
- Reconceptualising creativity in business
- Corporate entrepreneurship
Guests will also be welcomed by a reception on Wednesday 1st of April at The University of Sydney and enjoy a Symposium Dinner on Thursday 2nd of April at The Great Hall of The University.
